This was the first draft for track 2 (Collapse), which plays when one of the film's characters runs into a warehouse. At that time, only the first track had been written, so I took the first thing that came to mind (woodwinds over a 17-chord sequence I had on guitar?) and ran with it for a bit! Then the track started taking on a life of its own and significantly diverged from the tone of the scene, so I replaced it with Collapse, the intense track you now hear. The chord sequence did make it in in another form (it's the basis for the chords at the end of track 5), but it's interesting to wonder how the score would have been different if this version had worked.
